Editorial Policy
How Cold Chain Practice sources articles, assigns bylines, uses AI-assisted drafting, treats dates, labels images, handles corrections and keeps its archive.
This page explains how articles on Cold Chain Practice are prepared, what we claim and do not claim, and how readers can ask for corrections.
How articles are sourced
| Situation | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Manufacturer claims about specifications or performance | Written as “According to the manufacturer’s documentation,” with the model, conditions, document version and source kept visible. |
| Comparisons based on documents | Labeled as a document-based comparison. We state the method, the differences found and any information that is missing. |
| Illustrative examples | Labeled as an illustrative example. Example numbers are not customer results. |
| Field or lab results | Described as tested or observed only when the work actually took place and is documented, with who carried it out, the samples used and the limits. |
| Standards and compliance topics | We list the region, document version and scope. Citing a standard does not mean this site, or any product, is certified to it. |
| Historical people and companies | Treated as historical subjects. They are not presented as current authors, advisors, customers or partners. |
| Licensed historical material | Archive items are used within the scope of their licence. We keep a file-level licence ledger recording the licensor, original file, permitted use, credit requirements, term and version. |
New articles start from a current reader question and are written independently. We do not rewrite old articles paragraph by paragraph and present them as original work.
Bylines
When no suitable real author can be named publicly, articles carry the byline By Cold Chain Practice Editorial Desk.
The Cold Chain Practice Editorial Desk is the publishing byline used for articles prepared and maintained by DeltaSpark for this publication.
The byline does not imply a number of staff, a particular background or an engineering team. Real authors are named with a verifiable professional background. A “Technical review by” line appears only when an outside expert has actually reviewed the article. A person who appears in a historical archive record does not become a reviewer by being listed there.
AI-assisted drafting
We may use AI tools to help organize or draft material. Editors remain responsible for what is published. Sources, values, models and citations are checked by a person. We do not treat AI-generated biographies, test results or quotations as evidence.
Dates
Our guides do not display publication dates. They are maintained as reference material and are revised when the underlying documents or practice change. Substantive corrections are noted on the page concerned.
Historical pages state the date of the historical event and the dates of their source material. Those dates describe the past record and are never presented as our publication date.
Images
Photographs are labeled as illustrative images. Diagrams are labeled as editorial diagrams. Neither depicts a test, a customer or a specific product unless the caption says so.
Corrections
If you see an error, contact the Editorial Desk through the contact page and include the page address and the passage in question. We review each request. Substantive corrections are noted on the page itself.
Historical archive
The historical archive at /archive/ is kept separate from current guides. Its pages document past Cold Chain Global Forum events and related material for reference. They are not current event announcements or registration pages.
